Wear It All Challenge: Red, White and Denim

As I've stated in my last post on an AmyClaire item, it's un-freaking-believable to find a good picture of their first collection (which was the one promoted on Stardoll).  Way back, when it was released my absolute favourite piece was this dress (and it's yellow equivalent).  Four years later I've come to appreciate the other items that were released back then way more but I still can't help myself loving the high-waited Greek goddess like silhouette. I wish it was still available to re-create in StarDesign! It looks amazing as a stand alone item and at the same time it works pretty well worn as a skirt.

The best thing about this dress is that it stands just on the line between formal and casual and gives you the opportunity to go bout ways when putting an outfit around it. This is a very relaxed everyday look that would fit right in my real life style - maxi skirt, interesting cleavage, denim jacked, flat sandals and a shoulder purse big enough just for the essentials. I'm also quite fond of the colour combo - red and white have always been one of my staple combinations and the blue adds a patriotic touch (well, not for me personally but for a lot of others).

P.S.: Changed my doll's facial features once again. I'm still not sure if I like the eyes - they look stunning up-close in the Beauty Parlor but from afar... not so much, a bit too small. I'll probably go back to my old look at some point.

Wear It All Challenge: Downton Opulence

I do like the Stardoll version of this dress by Armani Privé S/S collection back in 2009 mainly because of their (quite unrealistic) execution of the fringes. Additionally, I've stated by love for period inspired clothes and the 20s have a very special place in my heart. I've been super lazy with my stylings lately and I'm not showing you the surprising versatility of this piece. It goes without saying that the colour looks great combined with black, grey and white but you can also combine it with different shades of red, beige and gold. In spite the loose shape it works amazingly well used as a skirt. You can also play around the top part and cover it up with crop tops and even bras (with a little help from the Underneath Stardoll invisible underwear). And of course, you can trough a leather jacket on top for a more contemporary look.

As I said, I was really lazy when it came to putting together an outfit (though I'm sure I'll use this dress again when I finally get around to the tops section of my closet). This look was created for a competition on the Stardoll Broadcast which I mentioned on this post along with a few outfits I had made for the theme - Downton Abbey.
The look is not revealing, focused around the drop waist, popular at the time and dominated by gold accent to emphasize the opulence of the era.

Wear It All Challenge: Biker Tango

I really do like this dress even though the graphics are a bit flat and the design itself lefts a lot to be desired. But that gorgeous long slit makes up for all of this. You can make so much with it: put lace shorts underneath for a nice peek-a-boo detail, wear long stockings, reveal a leg tattoo as I did or take a page out of the amazing Miloski's Best Bargee Bar None and use a necklace as a garter. I have no idea why slit skirts and dresses are such a rare sight on Stardoll. They add sexiness to an outfit without making it too revealing or slutty.
I went for an edgier styling with a biker touch, lots of tattoos, silver details and a tartan accent.

P.S.: Does anyone have any clue about the real life version of the dress? I found a few similar ones but nothing close enough to be featured here.

Back and Relaxed

I'm finally back from my long vacation. I Visited one of my favourite cities here in Bulgaria and right after that I headed for the seaside. I had an incredibly relaxing two weeks filled with long walks, amazing food, beaches and a lot of time to read. The down side was the slow mobile internet but hey - we can't have it all.

As you know for the time being I do not post reviews and hauls for the new releases but I simply have to mention the new Subcouture. I ran around the hotel like crazy looking for a computer with a reasonable Internet speed in order to get a better look of the collection and take my picks.

I know it's the middle of August and I promised I will announce last month's top commenter at the end of July but better late than ever:

I'm happy to say that JanaStarlite wins an item from he wishlist and I urge you all to comment often so that next month you will be in her place.
