Wear It All Challenge: Peachy Dilemma

This one turned out easier than I imagined it would be.This dress was from the third Antidote collection released in Starplaza and in my opinion it was the nicest item in the store. The floral motive is subtle and adorable but the black lining and the cut in the chest area ruin it for me.
Therefore I decided to take the adorableness of the print and hide the upper part I so dislike by using the dress as a skirt. This lead to two almost identical outfits - I considered both colors for the bustier and the loose silk shirt and I just couldn't decide which one I like better so I'm posting both.

Wear It All Challenge: Pumpkin Statement

I'm gonna have hell of a bad time styling all those Basic dresses. Don't get me wrong - I do love them and I have all of them - they are beautifully designed, well fitted and the vibrant colors are gorgeous but they are a bit too short for my taste and are not as easy to combine with other skirts/tops as they seem.
I've been experimenting with different combinations for hours until I finally settled on this outfit. Initially I had something more youthful in mind - white lace skirt and a amazing floral clutch but it didn't work as I imagined it. Then I decided to clash the tangerine dress with turquoise or teal accessorizes. I gave it try but the I found the result unsatisfying.
While I was browsing through my huge shoe collection this pair caught my attention. I've always liked  them but I don't think I've ever used them. Finally I had something to go on - not the bright shades of turquoise but the depth of the dark royal blue. My desperate search for accessorizes in that scheme brought me to by Beauty parlor where I found this stunning statement necklace.
The last decision to be made was whether to combine the dress with the peplum shirt or the maxi skirt and I went with the top just because the neckline fitted better with the necklace.
Overall, I'm incredibly happy with the final result - the colors compliment each other perfectly and make an otherwise simple (and quite cheap) outfit look glamorous and classy. I think this look is an perfect example of how a carefully chosen accessory can add an WOW factor to every outfit.

Wear It All Challenge: Cheap Mahogany

I was pretty exited to style this one because I almost bought it in real life. If only it was a size lager... but just my luck. Needless to say, it's from Cheap Monday and it drapes beautifully around the body with every movement.

Above it's worn with a beautiful pair of Litas which, as always, add a certain edge no other shoe can provide. Anyway, I went with a more elegant approach and clashed the coppery orange shade with gold jewellery, green stones and multicolored heels. All this, combined with the dress unusual design results in an youthful and fun outfit appropriate for a variety of situations.

Wear It All Challenge: Naturally Orange

This was a hard piece to style. I could've gone with the easy way and pair with black shoes, add some gloves and be done with it. But I really don't like that soft shade of orange combined with black. So thus began the browsing trough my closet in search for a shirt to use with it and, let me tell you, it wasn't easy!

I started with this outfit from Style Boom as inspiration and combined it with less elegant and more casual, boho look by Rainbows and Fairydust. Simple enough, huh? Well, not really - somehow none of my Stardoll items worked well with each other. Still, I'm moderately happy with the final result - warm natural colors, wooden jewellery and fur vest. Not sure about the Elle necklace but the outfit looked kind of unfinished without it.

Wear It All Challenge: The Tangerine Maxi Dress

First item in my closet is a free maxi dress I've had forever and I have never used. Why haven't I gotten rid of it? Because each time I try to I imagine how many ways there are for it to be used - bohemian look with natural colors and feather necklace, clashed with blue or green accessories (as seen below), matched with subtle gold jewellery or just by itself.
The dress is inspired by Gucci Resort 2009 and the original was worn both by Blake Lively and Natasha Poly back in the day.

I went for less formal look, clashed with blue accessories and finished with a denim jacket. I really like how the cropped jacket is almost as long the high waist line of dress.

Clean Clear Dress - Freebie
Cropped Denim Jacked - Miss Sixty

Accessories:
Marine Lace Up Flats - Philosophy
Blue Wood Clutch - Original Future

Alex Cardigan - LE

Accessories:
Traveller Boots - Nelly
YSL Bower Bag - Saint Laurent Paris Tribute
Gladiator Belt - LE
PPQ Horsebit Bracelet - PPQ

The first look is not from my closet but the outfit I'm currently wearing. It's quite simple with the only accent being the LE cardigan. I particularity like the gold details - the chain of the belt, the buttons of the cardigan, the shoelace holes and the YSL logo on the bag - I find that they add a sense of luxury to the otherwise basic black and white outfit.

Introduction

In the previous post I welcomed you to Skeletons of a medoll and I believe now it's time to tell you a bit more about myself.
My name is Alexandra but on Stradoll you can find me as Green_Eye_Angel. I've been a member since 2007 and not very active one, I may add. Mainly because I'm quite busy in real life - currently I'm studying Advertisement and Public Relations simultaneously at two of the top universities in Bulgaria and I'm managing the digital marketing of a glamorous night club in Sofia. Add to that my social life and my relationship and you can imagine how little time I have just for myself.

My style is quite versatile - I mix and match a lot and I'm not afraid I'll go wrong. I love daring combinations like romantic lace dresses paired with heavy leather boots, I wear oversized sweathers with high heels ans so on. At the same time I'm a huge fan classical looks - black dresses, well fit blazers and the ever fashionable riding boots. In the summer, however, I forgo all this and I go full boho - the maxi skirts and dresses are a weakness of mine and I embrace every chance to wear them.
The looks I create for my medoll  are even more variable given that on Stardoll I can buy clothes I could never wear in real life - formal dresses, short skirts (I don't mind short dresses but I feel awful in a mini skirts), extravagant shoes, animal prints, ect.  The problem is I never get around to use most of the stuff I buy.
Here enters the blog - there are currently 303 pages in my closet, not counting the items I have in storage, and I plan on style each one at least once. I will start and the beginning and go trough the pages as they have been organized - dresses, pants, skits, tops, outerwear. Within each category the items are color coordinated and ordered by length. I know this will lead to a lot of similar outfits following one another but, honestly, I don't care - as I said in the previous post - I'm starting this blog for me. And I'm super exited to do start!

The beginning

Skeletons of a medoll is an old idea of mine to store the looks of my medoll.
My original thought was to try and style every piece of virtual clothing in my Stardoll's closet - no matter how hard that may be, and therefore I came up with the name I so adore.
The main reason I've been reluctant to launch the blog is that the idea for this type of challenges has already been done perfectly by The Stardoll Lookbook and then used once again in a recent project by Allure.
However recently I've been less and less inclined to change my doll's outfits but I still keep on buying new items from the Starplaza. So in order to motivate myself into using them I have finally deiced to start this blog.
That being said, I still haven't made up my mind whether or not Skeletons of a medoll will feature looks by other Stardoll users or even reviews of new releases. To be honest, I have no general idea of the direction I want to take with it. I'll just go with the flow and I hope you'll be interested enough to join me.
